We certainly cannot say that we are living in boring times. The question might be if we would prefer some boring times.
January 20th was not a boring day. After Donald Trump was inaugurated in Washington D.C. Sonoma County Republicans attended an inaugural ball at the Flamingo Hotel. 162 happy Republicans attended. We had a few more people who wanted to be there but who were unable to make it. We also had attendees from outside of Sonoma County. The person who came the farthest was from Colorado.
The food was excellent and the dancing was a lot of fun. It was great to see fellow Republicans enjoying the music and knowing they could talk to other people and not be insulted for expressing their opinions.
The Cloverdale Citrus Fair takes place on February 17, 18, 19 and 20th. Republicans will be manning the Republican booth which is being sponsored by Santa Rosa Republican Women, the Sonoma County Republican Party and the North Sonoma County Republican Club. Check our web site for details.
The Republican Party is planning for monthly gatherings where we will have a speaker to educate on current issues and answer questions.
If you follow the news you are well aware of the challenges facing California. While many people focus on illegal immigration, the state continues to sink into a deeper economic hole. The Sonoma County Republican Party will be addressing some of these issues in the near future.
Our monthly meetings take place on the third Wednesday of the month at our office on Guerneville Road. All registered Republicans are welcome. In these troubled times, we must unite and work together.
President Donald Trump is driving the left crazy. After eight years of our past President, it is kind of fun to watch.
