For the Sonoma County Republican Party February is also a great month because we celebrate our Founder, Abraham Lincoln at our Lincoln Day Dinner. This year we will be at the Flamingo Hotel on Wednesday, February 21st with our guest speaker Janet Nguyen, State Senator who represents the 34th senatorial district. Senator Nguyen will speak about her arrival in this country from Viet Nam, her hard work and her success as a proud American. She will also tell us what is going on in the California State Senate.
Our Lincoln Day Dinner is our major fund raiser. The cost of the dinner is $65. After February 9th, the price is $75. You may register on line here or send your check to P.O. Box 3555, Santa Rosa, Ca 95402. Your dinner choices are salmon, pork or vegetarian which is Pad Thai. Please indicate your choice.
This year our raffle baskets will have a great deal of Reagan items some of which are one of a kind. As always, we will have selections of fine wines.
Our Sheriff candidate forum on January 31st was very successful. All three candidates were able to present their qualifications and their plans if they are elected Sheriff. The committee will make an endorsement at our endorsement meeting on April 18th at our headquarters.
Our speaker series continues in March and April. Mark Meuser, candidate for Secretary of State and Steve Bailey, candidate for Attorney General will speak in March and April respectively. These are important races and probably will not be affected by Proposition 14.
If Sonoma County Republicans care about what is happening in this state, it is critical that we work to elect some different state officials.
Republicans have a difficult path in Sonoma County. That is why it is important that we unite and stand together. Come join us.
