Chairman's Message - January 2020

A very happy New Year to all in Sonoma County.  It is going to be a very exciting year as we work on the issues that we are facing in this county and in this country.

Our Christmas party was a huge success with a good time had by all.  The food was great and many Republicans were able to meet other Republicans and realize they are not alone.

The Republican Party has a number of candidates in the upcoming election.

  • Scott Giblin – 5th Congressional District
  • Ron Sondergaard – 10th Assembly District
  • Matt Nelson – 4th Assembly District
  • Charlotte Svolos – 2nd Assembly District

The Sonoma County GOP has scheduled three town hall meetings for all of our candidates running for office.  The first Town Hall will be at Mary’s Pizza Shack, 101 Golf Course Drive in Rohnert Park on Saturday, January 11th at 4:00 p.m.   The second town hall will be in Santa Rosa at the Round Table Pizza at 2424 McGowan Drive in Montgomery Village on Saturday, January 25th.  We will start at 4:00 p.m. The third town hall will be on Saturday, February 8th in Santa Rosa at Round Table Pizza at 2065 Occidental Road.  We will start at 3:00 p.m.  All of our candidates for state and federal offices will be there ready to talk about why they are running and also answer questions.

Starting this weekend the Sonoma Republican Party will have phones so that we can make calls for our candidates and other candidates throughout the state.  Please sign up here to make calls as we did in October and November 2018.

Our speaker series in January will welcome Ray Navarro, Santa Rosa Chief of Police.  We will be meeting at the Finley Center on Wednesday, January 29th at 7:00 p.m.  There is a $20 charge unless you are a member of the Patriot Club.

Please remember that if you wish to vote for Donald Trump in the March Primary election you must be a registered Republican.

After the 1st of the year our office will be open on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday so that people can make phone calls and sign the Newsom recall petitions.  Please remember that signatures on each recall sheet need to be of voters in the same county.

Let’s make 2020 a great year for Republicans in Sonoma County.

Come join us.

Sincerely,

Edelweiss Geary
