Chairman's Message - June 2015
As summer starts, the Sonoma County Republican Party is getting ready for a variety of activities. We will have a Day at the Range in July so that people can practice their shooting skills under the expert training of NRA instructors. This fund raiser is a great opportunity to hone your self defense skills. Our Day at the Range also includes a barbeque and the opportunity to socialize with like minded folks. Watch for the announcement on our web site.
Our gathering at Lagunitas Brewery in Petaluma, scheduled for May, was cancelled due to structural problems at the facility. It has been rescheduled for August 25th. Mark that date on your calendar. The $20 charge includes beer, pizza and a tour of the brewery.
This election season, the local Party will be focusing on local city council, school board and public board races. This focus is part of our effort to bring solid Republican principles to our public life.
Although there is much talk about the presidential race, in California because of demographics, we will not have that strong an impact on the results of the race. However, we can definitely work to affect what happens in our local communities. By electing more Republicans to local offices, we are developing a farm team that is equipped to run for higher office.
