Chairman's Message - June 2024

Congratulations, progressives,” said Utah Senator Mike Lee. “You’ve just guaranteed Trump’s election.”

Last month, President Trump was convicted of 34 counts of falsifying business records. He will be sentenced on July 11th.  Of course, the left wing controlled corporate media applauded the decision as a victory for democracy. While supporters of President Trump recognized the convictions as the politicalization of our judicial system and responded by setting fund raising records!

Independent Presidential candidate Robert F Kennedy Jr stated “This conviction is going to backfire on the Democrats. I think every time that President Trump has been indicted, that his approval ratings actually increase, his popularity increases. I think there’s a large number of Americans who are going to see this as the politicization . . . the weaponization of the enforcement agencies, and I think it’s going to hurt. It’s bad for our democracy.”

In America, we can never tolerate the politicization of government agencies. We can never allow the use of government to take out political opponents. Our ideals oppose the weaponization of government. We must stand up against this and make Senator Mike Lee’s statement ring true by electing President Trump on November 8th.

We have a lot work ahead of us between now and election day.  The summer of 2024 will be busy as we gear up for electing President Trump. Here are a few republican events happening this summer where you can help promote our candidates.

• Sonoma GOP booth at the Rohnert Park Friday Night Market at City Center Plaza in Rohnert Park throughout the summer.
• Committee Meeting on June 19th @ 7pm at the Finley Center with state assembly candidates Mike Greer & Darren Ellis plus hear from opponents of Measure J.
• Independence Day BBQ on Saturday July 6th @ 3-6pm with Santa Rosa Police Chief John Cregan. More info and tickets available here.
• Local Republican Party Meetings on Wednesday, July 17th
• Local Candidate School and Training on Saturday, July 27th at the Sonoma GOP Office. More info may be found here.
• Sonoma GOP booth at the Sonoma County Fair from August 1st thru August 11th at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds.
• The Sonoma County Republican Convention with Sonoma County Sheriff Eddie Engram and Fox News Contributor Steve Hilton is scheduled for Saturday, August 24th @ 3-7pm at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds. More info and tickets available here.

I think we can all agree that we need better government. We know schools are failing our children, roads are either crumbling and/or taking years to repair while violence and crime are on the rise. It’s time to instill Republican values and principles into these local governing bodies.  We can make the changes necessary for generations to have a chance at prosperity.
