Sonoma County Republican Central Committee - Chairman's Report
March 2015
Our Lincoln Day Dinner on February 25th was a great success and most of all, a lot of fun. Assemblywoman Shannon Grove from Bakersfield gave a dynamic speech. She does not take any prisoners. The audience loved it.
The California Republican Party (CRP) convention took place in Sacramento on February 27, 28 and March 1. Chairman Jim Brulte was reelected as CRP chair.
The party is now out of debt and has money in the bank. This means that the party will have funds to assist candidates in future races. The fall convention will take place in
Anaheim on September 18, 19, and 20th.
Republicans are outnumbered in Sonoma County. That is why it is important for Republicans to remember the founding principles of the Party as articulated by Abraham
Lincoln and reiterated constantly by Ronald Reagan. We must stand for those principles in conversations and in activities such as writing letters to county newspapers and making our voices heard at public venues. Educating the public is desperately needed.
The general meeting of the Republican Central Committee takes place on the third Wednesday of the month. Contact us by phone or e-mail if you are interested in attending. We welcome visitors and people interested in joining the committee.
