Chairman's Message - March 2020

March 2020 is the start of a very exciting time in the political world.  California has a primary on March 3rd where voters will decide who moves on to the general election in November.  The Sonoma County Republican party has candidates in all federal and state races.  We have worked via our phone system to get Republicans out to vote and let Sonoma County know that the Republican Party is here and doing what we are supposed to do:  find candidates and elect them to office.   We will continue working in the coming months to elect Republicans to office.

We are excited about our Lincoln Day Dinner which will take place on Saturday, April 18th at the Flamingo Resort.  Our speaker will be Tom Del Beccaro who is a former state party chair, author and political commentator on various national and local outlets.  Check here for information about cost and dinner choices.  .

The county party will have a booth at the Sonoma/Marin fair which runs from June 24 to June 28.  We will need volunteers to manage the booth.  That is also true for the Rohnert Park Farmers Market which takes place every Friday night throughout the summer.  Volunteers are needed.  It is a great way to meet people and get out the Republican message.  Check our web site.  www.sonomacountygop.org.

Donald Trump is on the ballot for the primary (in spite of the governor’s efforts to keep him off the ballot) and he will undoubtedly win the Republican nomination since he is not running against any viable Republican.  We will make a strong push for the president in November.

We urge all Republicans in Sonoma County to continue to work and fight for our state which is in such trouble.  It is very sad to see our beautiful state in such disarray and turmoil.

On March 3rd we will be at the Union Hotel in Santa Rosa to watch the election returns.  We have the patio area from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.  Orders will be taken between 7:30 and 8:00.  Come join us.
