Chairman's Message - May 2019

First of all, let me wish all mothers in our audience a very happy and blessed Mothers Day.  Mothers often have a number of roles including wife, teacher, nurse, cook, housekeeper, bookkeeper and first of all nurturer of children.  It is a very busy job. She might also work outside the home.

The Sonoma County Republican Party is busy getting ready for the Dinesh D’Souza event in Napa on June 8th.  Almost all of our county’s allotment of tickets are sold and after we fill our quota we are recommending that tickets are purchased through the Lake County Central Committee.  This should be a great event with Dinesh and introductory speaker Brandon Straka of the Walk Away Movement.  Five County Central Committees have joined together for this event and it should give Republicans in the area a boost.

Our speaker series continues on May 29th.  David Hagele, Healdsburg City Council member will be our presenter and will discuss some of the challenges that city councils are facing.  Check our web site ( for all details.

Now, I do not believe that I can ignore the zoo in Washington D.C.  I do not mean the zoo with four legged critters.  The zoo I am speaking of is about the two legged creatures in the capitol.  Good grief!  What is going on in D.C. is the best possible example of the swamp that could ever exist.  Attorney General William Barr is not playing the swamp game.  He is following the law.  Imagine that!  The next few months will be very interesting.  Coincidentally, the economy continues to keep roaring along.

The Sonoma County Republican party is getting ready for the Sonoma County Fair  We are getting a larger booth that will allow us more exhibit space and a chance to talk to more fair goers.  The cost of the booth is decidedly more than the smaller space and as always we appreciate any donations.

We will be working to help Republican candidates in special elections and as always we welcome all workers.  Contact us at

Our monthly meetings are on the third Wednesday of the month.  This month our meeting will be on May 15th.  All registered Republicans are welcomed.

Remember, California is worth fighting for.  It needs to be the Golden State again.

Best Regards,

Edelweiss Geary
