Chairman's Message - August 2025

We are halfway through the year, and I am grateful to each of you for the hours of volunteer time you have given in reaching our community.  

Over a dozen of you volunteered in our Republican Booth at the Rohnert Park Farmers Market. Thank you!! 

Over 50 of you volunteered to talk with fellow voters and potential voters in our Republican Booth at the Sonoma County Fair.  You also registered voters, encouraged voters to volunteer with the Voter ID Initiative and promoted our upcoming Sonoma County Republican Convention on August 23rd.  Thank you!!  

These two (2) outreach efforts are pivotal in reaching the voters in Sonoma County and to encourage their participation and help in restoring our Golden State.

Lastly, I'd like to bring to your attention an effort currently being considered by Governor Gavin Newsom and Attorney General Rob Bonta. 

• They want to redraw new maps to redistrict California's 52 Congressional seats. 
• Currently in our State Constitution it states that our Citizens Redistricting Commission, which was voted in by the voters in 2008 and 2010 are the ones authorized to draw the district lines.
• What Newsom & Bonta want to do is call a special session for our Legislators to put a measure on the ballot for voters in November 2025.
• If passed, this effort would legislate a temporary allowance for our State Legislature to draw the lines and redistrict the congressional map. 
• The California Republican Party is strongly working to defeat this effort with the help of all 58 Counties and other groups. 
• We will bring more information to you as we receive it.
