County Housing Leader Selected

Sonoma County Administrator Christina Rivera selected Michelle Whitman (former district director for Supervisor Shirlee Zane) to run Sonoma County’s Community Development Commission.  The Board of Supervisors approved the appointment on April 18th.   The Community Development Commission oversees the county’s housing authority, handles programs designed to help low and moderate income homeowners and tenants, including rental assistance, development loans, homebuyer loans and grants.
