Pay Raise for Santa Rosa City Manager

Maraskeshia Smith is the City Manager for Santa Rosa.  She has been in the position since January 2022.  Ms. Smith will receive a 5% merit increase and a 2.5% cost of living adjustment.  That will increase her salary from $276,750 to $297,853 annually.  Future merit raises will bring Ms. Smith’s salary to $328,296 by June 2024.  She also receives health and other benefits.  The new agreement also includes a five-year contract that will keep her in the job until 2028.  

The Santa Rosa City Manager oversees a workforce of about 1,280 employees and a general fund budget of about $200 Million.  A recent study indicated that Ms. Smith earned on average 16% less than her peers at other cities.
