Relationship Between State and National Republican Parties
Political parties have state and national organizations. The two major parties have national committees, made up of one man and one woman from each of the 50 states and U.S. territories and the chair of each state party.
The Sonoma County Republican Central Committee is financially independent from the Republican National Committee (RNC) and the California Republican Party (CRP).
The Sonoma County Republican Central Committee receives no money from the RNC.
The Committee receives some legal, informational, financial (both direct and indirect) support from the CRP.
The Committee has its own bylaws and standing rules. The Committee can take some guidance from the CRP.
