Chairman's Message - November 2024
Today we remember all of our men and women who have served in our armed forces. Happy Veteran’s Day! Thank you for your service defending our nation and freedoms!
Wow, what a smashing victory Republicans had on election day! Led by President Donald J. Trump, nationally Republicans may have won the Electoral College, the popular vote, and a majority in both of the House of Representatives and the US Senate. Here in California, voters rejected minimum wage hikes, rent control and every county voted to restore retail theft as a felony. As of today, it appears Republicans have held onto Republican legislative seats and may pick up an additional seat or two.
Right here in Sonoma County, voters rejected Measure J resoundingly with 85% opposing! Sonoma County overwhelmingly supports our farmers and agricultural community. Locally, several conservatives appear to have been elected to office while our state and federal legislative candidates earned higher percentages of votes than previous years. President Donald J. Trump is on course to receive several thousand more votes than he did in 2016 & 2020 in Sonoma County. I would like to thank all of the volunteers and supporters who helped the Sonoma County Republican Party reach more voters this election!
All across our country, voters rejected the strategy of identity politics, raced/gendered based politics, in favor of policies that will reduce inflation and provide economic relief to the majority of Americans who are struggling daily. More women, more minorities, more young voters, more union members, more of every demographic voted Republican this year. Voters are trusting President Trump and the Republican Party and it is time we deliver! We have an opportunity to provide generational change and Make America Great Again!

On December 18th, the Sonoma County Republican Party will host our Annual Holiday Party. Our traditional potluck will be extra special this year. We have a lot to celebrate! More information will be available shortly but please SAVE THE DATE.
This month’s meeting of the Sonoma County Republican Party will be on Wednesday, November 20th at 7pm in the Cypress Room of the Finley Center in Santa Rosa. At this meeting we will report on our political operations this election. We will also hear nominations for officer elections of the central committee. Chairman, 1st Vice Chair, 2nd Vice Chair, Treasurer, Assistant Treasurer, Communications Director and Secretary are up for election this year. All candidates will be orally nominated at this month’s meeting with the election being held at a special meeting in December to be announced.
