Are You a Socialist?

Why has Socialism been so attractive to so many people for the past 200 years?  Some people translate the statement in the Acts of the Apostle as being the best way to live.

“The community of believers was of one heart and mind and no one claimed that any of his possessions was his own but they had everything in common.”

This is a worthy way to live if you have chosen this way of living by your own free will.  Religious life falls into this category but that choice is made by an individual.

Socialism refers to state ownership of the means of production, distribution and exchange of wealth exercised through the government and its officials.  Socialism claims to aim for economic justice and the general welfare of everyone by having people contribute according to their ability and to receive benefits according to their needs.  The problem with this plan is that it is government officials who develop rules and regulations that dictate how others can or cannot operate and therefore impose their judgment for the individual.  Therefore, we have state control over every individual’s life.

Socialism treats people as groups.  Your individual identity is ignored.  Socialism considers the individual as an element, a molecule within the social organism.  Individual good is totally subordinated to the functioning of the socio-economic mechanism.  The collective nature of socialism violates a person’s freedom to determine the matters that are within the person’s competence and reason.

Under socialism class privilege whether based on economics, race, color, gender or sexual identity becomes first and foremost in the daily life of citizens.  The rhetoric surrounding socialism sounds great.  However, the reality is that socialism replaces an individual’s natural, God-given rights and replaces them with class privileges.  The class privileges may be based on economics, race, gender or sexual identity.  Although the stated objective of socialism is equality the result is anything but.  Socialism denies a person’s natural-law right to private property or imposes very high taxation which ultimately denies a person their rightful property and their choice.

Socialism substitutes: *  government-provided security for personal freedom

*  state paternalism for self-initiative

*  government mandates for individual responsibility

*  communal directives for personal conscience

So much of the time socialism tends toward totalitarianism because when people do not want to go along with a socialist government a state reverts to force and subjuation of citizens.

Now, a person might ask why are so many young people in the United States thinking that a  Socialist society is a great thing?  There is one very basic answer.  LACK OF EDUCATION.

People who are socialists or have strong leanings to socialism have managed to get control of our schools including  elementary, secondary and college.  What is missing in the curriculum?  Let’s start off with accurate and complete history.  That is the history of western civilization, the United States and the totalitarian governments that have caused so much misery and so many wars.

If you have had practically non-existent education in history and economics and you are young and never have to support yourself, socialism sounds great.  Imagine!  You don’t have to pay for medical needs or college.  You can qualify for housing subsidies. What a way to live!

There are some people who truly believe that socialism is the way to go.  However, there is another group who understands that socialism is a great way to control a population.  These are the people who will never suffer the consequences of socialism.  Let’s take a look at where socialism fits the bill perfectly.

Sustainable Development and the Green Agenda are the policies that the United Nations is advocating.  The 2030 Agenda is a plan of action devised by the United Nations to achieve 17 sustainable development goals and was adopted by all UN members in 2015.  Ban KI-moon,

the UN Secretary General in 2015, called the 2030 agenda “the global declaration of interdependence.”  Could this be a direct swipe at the Declaration of Independence?

The UN adopted the Vancouver Declaration in 1976.  Here is an excerpt from the report.

“Land cannot be treated as an ordinary asset controlled by individuals and subject to the pressures and inefficiencies of the market.  Private land ownership is also a principal instrument of accumulation and concentration of wealth, therefore contributes to social injustice.”

Alex Newman, a journalist who has studied sustainable development for many years states:

“If you control the food supply, you control everything.”  In the United States ESG metrics are used to evaluate companies on how compliant they are with sustainability.  (ESG stands for environmental, social and governance criteria).

How has this plan for sustainable development been put in practice?  In the Netherlands farmers had a nation wide strike when the government wanted to end the use of fertilizers.  Canada is making the same moves. The goal is to reduce global greenhouse gas emissions by replacing livestock-derived foods with alternative forms of protein such as insects and lab-cultured proteins.

These are world wide plans which will be much easier to implement if a nation has a socialist government and economy.

Remember:  The elite who are pushing these plans will never live the same way the average person will under a socialist government.
