SONOMA COUNTY CONVENTION

When is the best time to have a convention?  When you have a lot of candidates.

Due to the recall election of the governor there will be two questions on the September 14th ballot.  First question:  yes or no on recalling the governor.  If your choice is yes then there is a second question which will give you the opportunity to vote for a person to become governor.  

We already have a number of serious candidates who have declared they are running for the position. 

The Sonoma County Republican Party will hold a convention on Saturday, August 14th from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds.  Details regarding the event are available at our web site:  www.sonomacountygop.org.

All major Republican gubernatorial candidates have been invited.  If they cannot appear in person, we hope to have a video from them.  At the end of the day we will take a straw poll.

We will also have candidates for state offices who will speak and who will be available to meet attendees.  This is a great opportunity for Republicans to gather, learn about the candidates and get to know their Republican friends. 

Remember:  We do have a Governor to send into retirement.
