Chairman's Message- August 2023

 As we approach the end of summer, the Sonoma County Republican Party is geared up to make a positive difference locally in our schools. Sonoma County has over 40 local districts and we are looking for candidates to run for your local school board. Please email me for any assistance. Neighbors and friends, we also need your to help to recruit and support our local school board members. The time is now to get involved!

Our next meeting is on Wednesday, August 16th at 7pm at the Finley Center in Santa Rosa. The Sonoma County Republican Party is an elected, representative association of registered Republican voters in Sonoma County whose primary purpose is to aid in the election of Republican candidates for public office in Sonoma County. Please join us and be a part of it!

The Sonoma County Fair is happening now thru Sunday at the fairgrounds. The GOP Booth is located inside of Grace Pavilion and we have patriotic merchandise, candidate material, the history wheel and information about upcoming events. Stop by, say hi, talk with fellow conservatives and take a selfie with President Lincoln, Reagan and Trump!

The 2023 Sonoma County Republican Convention is just a few weeks away on Saturday, August 26th from 3pm-7pm in the Sara Lee and Richards Barn at the fairgrounds.  We will have candidates for US Senate, US Congress, California Senate and Assembly for you to meet. Attendees will have an opportunity to vote in our 2024 Presidential Straw Poll. We have tickets available for an opportunity drawing to win a Glock and we have lots of wonderful items available in our silent auction. A delicious pasta lunch with ceaser salad and garlic bread is included with every ticket. Tickets are $30 and kids are free so bring the family.

The Leadership Institute will be holding a Community Organizing Training in Sonoma County on Saturday, September 23rd. You will leave equipped to build local organizations that survive the ebb and flow of election seasons, the waxing and waning of public opinion and popular fads, and the natural tendency of conservative groups towards attrition. Here are more details
