Well we are stuck with the nation’s worst governor Gavin Newsom for at least another year! But do not worry... Newsom will face a primary election in the summer of 2022 and most likely a general election in November 2022. So we do have our work cut out next year!
Here is the Sonoma County Registrar of Voter’s most recent report:
Yes to Recall: 56,009 (26.1%)
No to Recall: 158,945 (73.9%)
Total Voters: 214,954
With 2,060 ballots remaining to be counted, Sonoma County voter participation is at 70% of registered voters. Meaning 30% of registered voters did not even bother to vote. One thing that remains certain is that a percentage of Republicans did not vote in the election. We must ask ourselves why the apathy?
California ranks at the nation’s bottom for roads and education while ranking near the top for cost of living and taxes. This is not just a result of Gavin Newsom… it is a result of having a single party run government. The lack of coherent policies towards homelessness and forest maintenance are a direct result of Democrat policies.
We must all ask ourselves what did I do to get Republicans out to vote? What did I do to reverse course for California by getting rid of Democrat single party rule and their policies?
