Another Great Idea?

Fortunately, the plan to move the county offices to downtown Santa Rosa failed.  Now, the Santa Rosa City Council has come up with another “genius” idea.  Let’s turn the third street garage into a place for the homeless.  It is the smallest of the city’s five garages with just under 200 spaces.  It needs about $3 Million in upgrades. You know: right in the middle of the downtown business sector.  We will install a living facility.  Who needs a garage?  Certainly not the lowly tax payer. 

The business community has pressured the city to put the brakes on the idea.  That garage has always been a great spot for people who want to park conveniently when they go downtown. Let’s take care of the taxpayer.
