Sonoma County Budget

During October the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors reviewed the recommended $2.14 Billion budget for the coming fiscal year.  County Administrator Sheryl Bratton presented the county’s financial outlook and her recommendations to the board.

There are 4,181 county employees which includes an increase of about 25 positions.  The general fund which is the primary funding source for criminal justice and administrative departments is set at $556 Million.  The budget lists $224.8 Million for the county Behavioral Health program, $2 Million for the Independent Office of Law Enforcement Review and Outreach and $1.38 Million for the Office of Equity.
