STORM IN SAN FRANCISCO
The previously wonderful city of San Francisco has been undergoing some very hard times. There may be hope on the horizon. Students have not been physically in school since the beginning of the pandemic. The school board has been more interested in a variety of issues having nothing to do with educating students. One of the big issues they have been dealing with is renaming public schools. It was apparently very important to the board that schools that are named for Abraham Lincoln, Diane Feinstein, George Washington and other historical characters must be renamed so that they are “woke.”
Surprise! There was a school board election on February 15th and the three members who were up for reelection were tossed off the board by over 70% of the vote. Apparently, people were actually paying attention to the needs of their students.
Politicians, beware. Parents have awakened.
