SCHOOL CHOICE:

There has been a positive result from the pandemic.  Parents had the chance to see what their children were learning because of  Zoom classes.  Were they ever in for a shock!

As has been noted many times, the left side of the political spectrum got control of the public schools 40 years ago.  Actual history, accurate government and math that actually works in the real world was not happening for many people’s children.  Parents got involved especially at the school board level.  A great number of parents realized that the schools were not doing what was needed for their children. 

The School Ballot Initiative will give voters the chance to change how schools are funded. The initiative does the following:

1)       Allows parents to establish an Education Savings Account (ESA) for their child.

2)       Funds each ESA with an equal share of Prop 98 state education dollars, currently $14,000  with increasing taxes.

3)       Allows parents to use ESA funds to pay for educational expenses and enroll their child in the school that is best for them.

4)      Unspent funds accumulate in value and can be used for college or vocational training.
