Chairman's Message - July 2022

Happy Birthday America! The greatest country on earth turns 246 years old today. God Bless America!

Thank you to Sonoma County Sheriff-Elect Eddie Engram for joining us in celebration of our Independence Day on Saturday. It was a great afternoon of food, friends, family & important conversaton. We also had a chance to meet with and to listen to our US Congressional Nominees Douglas Brower in District 2 and Matt Brock in District 4.

Though the official results from the June Primary Election are not certified by the Secretary of State we can congratulate our 2022 Republican Nominees North State Senator Brian Dahle for Governor, Lanhee Chen for Controller, Mark Meuser for US Senate and the entire list of nominees. We have a great lineup of candidates ready to work to Make California Great Again!

On the November 8th ballot, not only will we vote for governor, senate and congress, but we will also have hundreds of local elections here in Sonoma County. This year, we have an excellent opportunity to elect many Republicans in local elections. Parent Revolt is a brand-new initiative by the CAGOP to help recruit and support Republicans in running for local school boards. The Sonoma County Republican Party invites you to meet the 2022 Republican Nominees and local candidates at the Sonoma County Republican Convention taking place on Saturday, August 20th at the fairgrounds. There will be food, a silent auction, patriotic merch and lots more. Under 18 are free and students are half price so please bring the whole family. Its time we Republicans come out, have some fun and win some elections!

While you are enjoying America's Birthday today please remember that freedom is not free. Today I am remembering our 3rd President of the United States and author of the Declaration of Independence Thomas Jefferson when he said, "The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is its natural manure."
