Chairman's Message- March 2023

As an elementary school educator, father of a high school student and school board trustee, education is always on my mind. With the recent stabbing in a local school and guns being found near another, education is now on the minds of many of us. California's quality of education continues to be ranked near the bottom of the nation and local school boards continue to make political decisions regarding the safety of our children. Now is time to get back involved in our schools.

Attend your local school board meetings (Santa Rosa City Schools District's March 8th meeting information can be found here), volunteer for school committees and run for school board. We are here to help. Last year the Sonoma County Republican Party supported over two dozen successful candidates. Please email me at chairman@sonomcountygop.org if you have any interest or questions. We can make a difference in the quality of education and safety of our children.

On Wednesday, March 22nd, please join us as we host a discussion with new Sonoma County Superintendent of Schools Amie Carter. We will meet at the Finley Center in Santa Rosa at 7:00 pm. Tickets are $20 per person. Patriot and Chairman Circle Members should RSVP to events@sonomacountygop.org.

We are excited to announce that Congressman John Duarte and Congressman Kevin Kiley will keynote the Sonoma County Republican Party 2023 Lincoln Reagan Dinner!  The dinner will be on April 22nd from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the DoubleTree Hilton in Rohnert Park.  A limited number of VIP tickets are also available which include a reception from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM. We expect tickets to sell quickly so get yours today.
